we are going to end of the year with a lot of memories in 2017.
we learnt a lot of things from them.

     when i talk my university life i have a unforgatable memories.
In here PPD was a main thing.Because it made me happy as well
as It developed my personal life.Yes exactly I coud be able to my
personal abilities because we did lot of things ,on PPD sesion.

     I woud like to summerize what we did in PPD session Sofar.

     So we create our first blog with the heading that "About PPD
in my point of view and we write on it what is the PPD and what
are the things we do on this session and what we learn from
that and how to implement these things for our personal life.

     Next we did a activity called "PAPER TOWER". This is team
activity.We had to build a tower by using papers and the tallest
tower  but team is the winner.We got a lot of things from activity.
How to maine proper plan to do some thing team work.

     Next we created our blog "What I learn from PPD". We had to
tell a lot of things about PPD.

     Our next blog is about" University of Kelaniya".So we went
 arround our university premises and took some photo and give
introductions about that places in the blog.

     Next activity is "Standing on the paper". This is also team
work.It was very interesting game.we had to stand on piece of
paper.So we learnt that from activity we must have a proper
strategy and how to we limited resources and team work.

     The next activity is "LAVA RIVER". It also was very interesting
game but we had to learn something.In this game game we had to
cross the lava river by using paper plates. It was a very hard
game but it we have proper plane.It is eassy.

     Our next activity is "Egg Protector" here we had to make a
protecting case for a egg by using some paper.

     Next activity is "A mind map about my goals" in this activity
we had to make a mind map on our future goals.

     Our next activity is "Bartar puzzle".This is a puzzle game.In this
game we had to complete puzzle with in a limited time. We learn
time management and team work, How to communication with
each other.

     Finally activity is "Leadership Outward Bound Training Programme"
for this activity we visited to the SL Navy Camp in Trincomalee.

     Yes,it was biggest and super journey.We had to lot of activities.It
was very interesting.No words, we got a lot of great experience
from training programme.

     These are the activities we did and these are the things we
achieved from this PPD session. We could be able to improve our
Personal skills leadership qualities,Communication skills, Decision
making talents, Self confidence, Team work, Time management,
Planning presentation skills etc. Finally, I want tell you some thing
PPD is not a subject it has based on our personal life. It can bring
our life to our future carier. So,I woud like to Thank for our Madam.

OUTWARD BOUND TRAINING PROGRAMME

Las week we stayed such a amazing days in SL NAVY CAMP in TRINCOMALEE,no wards

I realy love it.That  day,we arrived to  SL NAVY CAMP in the morning.They have prepared

super treatment for us.

   

                        Then we arrived coconal beach in trinco camp.woow it was very beautiful place.

In there we had to do a lot of activites.All activites were group activities,firstly we were divided

in to 4 groups as "Bravo","Alpha","Delta","Chali".I am a member of "Bravo" team.In  first day some

activites were very hard.some activites were very enjoyable."Tug-of-war" activity  that was realy 

feel us.first day we were the winner team in group activities.

     

    1st day night there was a varitey show,we just prepared in few minutes before the starting 

 show.but It was very interesting.Usually i can't sing songs.but  on that day i had to sing a 

song.I dont know ,how felt it to audience.

      2nd day we were arrived jungle.It was like a mission.on that time,I was remembered 

in my childhood how i play IGI pc game.

  

           This game also was a team activity.They gave us some equipments which help us 

to find correct path.In this journey, we faced some unexpected situations.Yes, we could 

overcome those challenges,but finally we couldn't arrive destination as a first team.

but we got a lot of things for our lives.

                                                             BARTER PUZZLE

 

  Today i am going to tell you specail event in PPD session.It seems like
a game .it was a little bit hard but it is very interesting.it bring us in our childhood.
we called it BARTER PUZZLE.I would like to tell something about BARTER SYSTEM.
A barter system is an old method of exchange.That is system has been used used for
centuries and long before money was inventend.people exchanged services and goods
for other services and goods in return.

              In our activity, First we were divided into three groups.After that we choosed
leader each groups.Then madam provided A4 size colored paper.Then she told to leaders
and some volunteers in each groups to cut that paper into 100 pieces.ALL pieces should
be diffrent.
     
             Then she collected 10 pieces from each group and mixed them.From that mixed
30 pieces each group was given a 10 mixed pieces.Then we had to slove the puzzle with
finding relevant pieces from other groups.
 
         exactly it was very hard for us.we could not be winning team.but finally number 2
group won the match.As i think why we could not complete our puzzle because our
pieces are small too much.so it was difficult to complete puzzle.So we can not find
right pieces from other groups.Anyway we got lot of experience from that activity.

                      EGG PROTECTING COVER

Today i am going to tell you very interest event in PPD session.
It seems like a challenge.Actually it was very enjoyable game.it checked our
our knowledge how to implement.it was very compatitive with other groups
we did in activity was making  a protecting cover for the egg to
prevent it from breaking when we throw them from the top.

firstly we were divided into three groups

1st group :  sujithra,prarthana,vijaya,anura
2nd group: sithra,isuru,mahesha,tedy,prasanth
3rd group : hirushka,sahani,yasiru,karshan

    Also we got few items and limited time(45min) to build that
          👉 five A4 papers
          👉 cellotape

In our group we made like a box using papers and cellotape ,it could hold a egg
then wrapping the cellotape all over the egg and made the cover.Other
groups used many tricks to make the egg cover.

   but only one group was succesful.it didn't break when it was
thrown from the top.

Today I am going to tell you very interest event in PPD.It seems like a game.Actually It was very enjoyable game.we got a great fun from these activities.we had to do two game.

                                                 Though These activities are very enjoyable,it was very compatitive with other group .we divided three group.


1st group:  rajitha,tedy,vjay,mahesha,shramila,rama,karshan,suthesana

2nd group: savin,isuru,hirushka,yasiru,kanishdan,shalika,prasanth ,vimukthi

3rd group: atheesh,minoltan,sanjeewan,sanjeewa,ashik,tasneem,sameera

             firstly we had to do "stand on the paper game.before start game we thought it is very essy for us,but it was not like that.
I was in 2nd group.There were 8 members in our group.in that game first round was eassy for us.we all of had to stand on the some
small paper.we could do it.The paper which was enough to us to stand on that.but 2nd round was very dificult.because in second
round paper was small than 1st round.we could not be able to do this.only one team could do this.

              after the changing members each group.we srated next game.we called "lava river ".it was very funny game.
if we had good idea to implement correctly in this game.it is not dificult.we could be able to complete 1st round.
but 2nd round ,madam gave some condition relevant the game.so 2nd round was not essay.we all of had to go destination
only onece and collect point.point is given marks which was situated some places in floor.we needed to more marks to win the game.
we have used some tricks to win the game.final result is 1st team - 150 marks, 2nd team -170 marks, 3rd team-50 marks.

It is situated in faculty of science premises.it is a very big playground.it has a huge boundary wall.we use the playground for our physical training exercises and drills.

we also play many games like football,cricket,baseball,rugby,hokey etc.our university annual sports meet is held on our playground.we learn all types of games

and sports with discipline and sportsmanship here.I am proud of my university main play ground.

2. The medical center

It is situated in front of faculty of management.The university health service is organized to help the students of the university to lead an active life free 

from disease.All registered students are entitled to free consulations, free basic medicinal drugs and laboratory service. 

The health service is set up mainly for students,but staff both academic and non-academic

can make use of the service.it is one of important unit in university.

3. The library

It is situated  behind the administrator.It is very important unit in university.Because it helps us for our academic.The university of kelaniya library was crystallized around the VIDHYALANKARA PIRIWENA collection with the elevation of the piriwena to a pledged university status in 1959.Through out its existence,the library was located in several places and finally moved to its present building in 1977.The present library collection encompasses over 230 000 books pertaining to various academic disciplines ranging from archaeology to zoology and subscriptions to about 150 academic journals.

It is situated in front of "BUDHUMADURA".It is main unit in our science faculty.The main person of faculty of science.Dean Dr.Bimali Jayawardana and staff are working there.They co-ordinate our academic task,extra curricular activities and exams and other tasks.

5. The basketball court

It is situated in front of Dean office.It use for playing basketball, on the otherhand it can use to organize meeting,preforming dramas and function.There are bonds in around the court.We sit and talk on matters of interest to us.We like very much that place.

we could get many benefit from PPD session.we could develop our own skills.we founded many good abilities for our life.we could improved leadership skills, experiences about how to work with a team, how to improve self confidence and communication skills from our PPD activities.That kind of  soft skills will help to us define  and explore our goals and to map out ways to turn them into reality.

                     we could communication with  other guys by using English language.madam told us "please Don't speak Sinhala" .because There are some Tamil and foreign students in our batch.we want their ideas to work in our activities. for that we try to use only English language .so we could improve our English language  and communication skills.    

💙 How to do team work 
                 

we did many team  work in PPD session for example paper tower , create a new culture etc.we got lot of knowledge in how to do team work.we knew abilities of other members in our group.we respected their idea,as well as we learnt how to take good decision.so we could improve our leadership skills. 

                 actually for an software engineer, it is important to have soft skills.because it is essential to maintain good connection and relationship with our clients within the industry.for that PPD subject   is a great opportunity for us.I would like to convey my best regards with full of thanks to our madam who cordinate us and who guide us to brush up our skills.

                Finally I founded some important matter from our group work.In a group of people, there are different skills from every people many intelligent minds and brains working.When team members work together as a team,we can learn other and advance their knowledge.as well  as we learned, how to communicate with other guys,how to manage our work with time,how to take good decision,how to make our leadership,Therefore  we could get a lot of important things from our PPD activity.
